The mission of CRR is to improve primarily the health and well being of racial and ethnic minority populations through the provision of culturally competent care and programming that address disparities in healthcare and gaps in health outcomes. Concerned about the disparities in health outcomes within communities of colour, the Board of Directors at CRR dedicates its resources to the promotion of recovery, well-being, community integration and productivity among persons who are at the beginning stages of recognizing their own strengths.
CRR offers culturally competent and high quality care to people with developmental disabilities, chemical dependence, mental health challenges, HIV/AIDS and families of such persons who reside in the Nassau County communities of Freeport, Roosevelt, Uniondale and Hempstead, New York.
